This archive is the original source of photographic silver prints, made by Max himself. Max was very focused on the remarkable performing art scene that was making history around him. From the Avant-garde “off-off-Broadway” productions of the 1960s thru the “Ballet boom” of the 1970s in New York, Max captured the essence of these remarkable performances with his artistic lens.
Though he intended to complete each edition of print, 25 for the 16” x 20”s and 50 for the 11” x 14” prints, rarely did he ever, as the next work was upon him, calling his passion - and then - his life was over, too soon at age 61.

Throughout the site, you may see this symbol “*” to indicate there is an original print available. Often, there are many more images from the performance available, sometimes not.
